Article abstract
By Grotta Giusti Spa (Monsummano, Italy) was made a case-control study to test theraputic efficacy of "Cava Grande" water (Sulphate-sodic- calcic-magnesic water) to care chronic and recurrent pathologies of high respiratory tract. The two patient groups with rhinologic diseases or rhinosinusitis were submitted to inhalatory therapy. The groups were valued before and after the threatment through clinical and instumental parameters. Statistic tests show in the case versus control, significant variation of symptom related parameters (nasal congestion and obstuction) and the nasal mucociliary transport time. The anterior active rhinomanometry attested a great reduction of nasal resistence.
