To evaluate the response of the plasma endorphine level to balneotherapy, 20 patients with chronic pain syndromes (osteoarthritis) were admitted to the Atatürk Balneotherapy and Rehabilitation Center. After a three-week period of therapy, plasma endorphine levels were observed to be not significantly changed.
