Time increase on nasal mucociliary transport is an effect and an indicator of chronic disease of high airways. 97 pts. affected by rhinosinusitis underwent to Spa Therapy with sulphorous water to assess the effects on nasal mucociliary transport. Nasal mucociliary transport time was evaluated by sodium saccharinated mixed to vegetal coal. At the end of therapeutic course we observed a significative improvement of clinical indicators and nasal mucociliary transport. This last modified its average by 19.2 min. to 11.37 min. went back to phisiological limits.
